Getting started with org mode
What is org mode about: Org mode is to emacs what Angry bird was to Android before Pokemon came in: it’s emacs killer app except that it’s nowhere close to become obsolete anytime soon. In its simplest form Org mode is a note taking and task list management system for emacs. Their website gives a more complete definition: Org mode is for keeping notes, maintaining TODO lists, planning projects, and authoring documents with a fast and effective plain-text system. In fact, Org mode is so good that it even made at least 2 vi users migrate to emacs (this guy, and the other dude is me). But the thing is, why would you ever go with org mode considering all the alternatives? Org mode deals with all what you should expect from alternatives: todolist, checklist, tags, clocking, priorities and all the tralala. The tie breaker comes if you ever try...
